It Was A Day Like No Other
It was a day like no other, the day they finally felt free.
They came outside their homes, they began filling the streets.
They played their music loud, they sang joyfully.
There was no longer fear, only positivity.
When the businesses began trading, they shopped locally.
They celebrated with love, they hugged and kissed their family.
They mourned their losses and dusted their knees.
They took a breath of fresh air. It was over, finally.
This day will come for us, for you, for me.
If not soon, I promise it will be here eventually.
Love, Tahlia X
